The Problem: A group project where we started off working on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal #12, which is to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. Restricting our scope to the UAlberta campus, which manages its waste independent of the city’s services, gives us a small, controlled environment to implement changes in. So learning of these issues we asked ourselves: How might we reduce the amount of undiverted waste created?
